This Privacy Policy explains how Winai ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our mobile application. Winai is an AI-powered fitness app that counts your exercise reps using your device camera, tracks walks using GPS, and includes an optional "Focus Mode" feature that rewards exercise with screen-time credits for apps you choose to limit.
By downloading, installing, or using Winai, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
If you create an account (via email/password or Google Sign-In through our authentication provider, Supabase), we collect:
Your email address
A hashed password (if you sign up with email/password — we never store your password in plain text)
Basic profile information provided by Google if you sign in with Google (name and email address)
An account is optional. Many core features (exercise counting, local progress tracking) work without signing in. An account is required only if you want your data backed up and synced across devices.
Winai uses your device camera and an on-device AI model (MoveNet) to detect body position and count exercise repetitions (push-ups, squats, curls, planks, sit-ups, jumping jacks, lunges).
On-device only: All camera frames and pose analysis are processed entirely on your device. No video, image, or raw pose data is ever uploaded, stored on our servers, or transmitted anywhere. The camera feed is never recorded or saved.
We collect data you generate by using the exercise features, including:
Exercise type, repetition counts, set counts, and duration
Plank hold time and step/walk activity
Personal records, streaks, and unlocked achievement badges
Workout goals you set
If you are signed in, this data is synced to our cloud database so it is available across your devices and not lost if you reinstall the app or switch phones. If you are not signed in, this data stays only on your device (local storage).
When you use the Walk/Run tracking feature, the App accesses your device's GPS location to calculate distance, route, and pace.
Foreground location is used while the Walk feature is active.
Background location ("Allow all the time") is used, only if you separately grant it, so that walk/step tracking continues accurately when your screen is off or the app is minimized — GPS accuracy commonly drops on Android when an app loses foreground status, so background access improves tracking reliability.
We store the resulting walk summaries (distance, duration, pace) as part of your workout data. We do not sell or share raw location traces with third parties.
You can decline background location access; the App will still work in foreground-only mode with reduced accuracy when the screen is off.
Winai includes an optional "Focus Mode" that lets you choose specific apps on your device (for example, social media apps) to temporarily lock until you earn screen-time credit by exercising.
If you enable this feature, we collect:
The package names of the apps you personally choose to monitor/lock (e.g., which social apps you selected)
How much time you spend in those specific selected apps, and your remaining "credit" balance
Your lock settings (daily free time allowance, credit-earning rate, etc.)
We only track usage of apps you explicitly add to your monitored list. We do not monitor, log, or have access to your activity within those apps, your browsing history, messages, or any other apps not added to your list. This data is used solely to power the lock/reward feature and, if you are signed in, to keep your Focus Mode settings and streaks consistent across devices.
Like most apps, we may process limited technical information necessary for the App to function correctly, such as device type, operating system version, and app version. We do not currently use third-party crash-reporting or analytics SDKs.
To provide core app functionality (counting exercises, tracking walks, calculating credits)
To create and maintain your account, and sync your data across your devices
To calculate and display your progress, personal records, streaks, and achievement badges
To operate the Focus Mode app-locking feature you configure
To communicate with you about your account (e.g., password reset emails) if needed
To maintain the security and integrity of the App
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Account and workout data for signed-in users is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend-as-a-service provider that hosts a managed PostgreSQL database on our behalf. Supabase acts as our data processor and is contractually and technically restricted to storing data for Winai's operation. Data in transit between your device and our backend is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
If you use the App without signing in, your data remains only in local storage on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of service providers, and only as needed to operate the App:
Supabase (database & authentication): stores account and workout/app-usage data you generate; also processes sign-in if you use email/password or Google Sign-In.
Google Sign-In (optional): if you choose to sign in with Google, Google processes your authentication and shares your basic profile (name, email) with us per your consent.
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse of the App.
We retain your account and workout data for as long as your account is active, so you can keep your history and progress.
Delete your account yourself, anytime: open Settings → Delete Account inside the App. This immediately and permanently deletes your account and all associated data — both from our servers and from your device. This action cannot be undone.
If you prefer, you can also request deletion by emailing us at vectormindlabs@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account," and we will process the request within 30 days. Additionally, you can clear locally stored workout records at any time using the in-app "Reset Records" option in the History screen, or remove all on-device data by uninstalling the App.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent for data processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at vectormindlabs@gmail.com.
Winai is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and access-controlled cloud infrastructure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App requests the following Android permissions, used only for the purposes described below:
Camera: real-time, on-device exercise rep counting. Never recorded or transmitted.
Location (fine/coarse/background): Walk/Run distance and route tracking.
Usage Access: to detect when a user-selected app is opened, for the optional Focus Mode feature.
Display over other apps: to show the lock screen over a monitored app once your credit runs out.
Notifications: to show the Focus Mode status notification and reminders.
Battery optimization exemption: so the Focus Mode timer keeps working accurately in the background.
Run at startup (boot): so Focus Mode locks persist correctly after your device restarts.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Effective date" at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
